Super-large diameter elbow pipes refer to elbow pipes with a nominal diameter (DN) of ≥1200mm, mainly used in high-flow medium transportation systems (such as water treatment, energy pipe networks, Marine engineering, etc.). Its technical features include:
Size challenge: The outer diameter is usually 1220-4000mm, the wall thickness is 10-50mm, and the single weight can reach tens of tons (for example, the weight of a DN3000 elbow pipe is about 80 tons).
Process complexity: It is necessary to break through the processing limit of traditional pipe bending equipment (for example, the maximum processing diameter of the conventional pushing machine is ≤1420mm).
Application scenarios
Urban water transmission trunk lines (such as DN2400 tap water pipes);
Raw material transportation in chemical industrial parks (such as DN1800 ethylene pipes);
Low-temperature pipelines in LNG receiving terminals (such as DN1600 liquefied natural gas elbows, with a temperature of -162 ℃).
Special performance requirements
Wind pressure resistance: For large elbow pipes installed outdoors, the wind load needs to be calculated (for example, for a DN2400 elbow, the bending stress is ≤120MPa when the wind speed is 30m/s).
Seismic design: The design is based on an earthquake intensity of 8 degrees. The elbow must have the ability to compensate for displacement (if a flexible joint is set, the allowable axial displacement is ±50mm).
